6 Customer Loyalty Programs For Your Business

Thinking of starting your own business?
You need to get a foundation of loyal customers who will be by your companies side instead of being lured to your competitors, Here i will tell you 6 customer loyalty programs that might add some value to your company.

1. Points System

Many of you may even have one of these in your wallets right now like an Optimum card from Shoppers Drug mart or even from your local gas station Esso Extra this type of method allows the consumer the more they buy the more points they receive so that when accumulated enough points they get rewarded with a freebies or discounted products.

2. Use some sort of Level System to encourage more purchases

Some customers may believe some rewards are unreachable because maybe to obtain that reward you need a crazy amount of points which will make customer give up and forget their points, to avoid this  use a level system being on the base level (start up) allows you this sum of points on purchases and the more loyal and more purchases the consumer does they get bumped up higher to another level (different card name) For example Costco does excellent job in this as they have different levels of customers (Executive, Gold star, Business).

3.  VIP Fees

The guy beside you spends less then you and gets the same discount and you been shopping there for longer, talk about not being fair. Some companies offer a special fee for those special customers i know sounds weird if your special why pay, but thats thing it "splits the men between the boys" You pay certain price to receive special treatment Amazon shows a great example of this of Amazon Prime when enrolled you receive special privileges like free 2 day shipping on purchases.

4. Not always about money

Yes, everyone likes discounts but sometimes just the thought of purchasing to help the less fortunate is a good enough motivator to buy just as something on sale. Hudson's Bay Company wanted to help Red Cross serval years ago and the way they managed to do so was donating points from when people purchased thing instead of receiving points it would be donated to the Red Cross and today HBC cardholders donate about $50,000 dollars per year.

5. Partner up

Why not share the loot? Partnering up with other companies is great loyalty program for business as it allows both of best worlds for the consumer and for both companies. For example you own a dealership why not partner up with the tuning shop down the street since you are already targeting the car owners and if they need any modifications or such they have some where to go. A widely known company that uses this method is American express.

6.  Have fun with it

Why not make a way for the customer to want to save, one way is to make them have fun with it like some sort of game that allows for them to be involved and to look forward to playing, many of us Canadian folk know that one game we love to play to try and win free stuff.. Tim Hortons Roll up the Rim is a great example as it makes customers look forward not only to their coffee but the chance of winning.

Can you think of any other companies that may fall in these Customer loyalty programs?
