TOMS

We all have seen or heard of the shoe called "TOMS" for those that haven't they are shoe that is based on the traditional Argentine Alpargata. Blake Mycoskie was inspired to go to Argentina in which he was shocked to see the poverty and health conditions that young children were living in especially children who could not afford shoes for their feet. In which he idea was born, Blake Mycoskie revolutionized the traditional shoe Alpargata and brought it back with them to the U.S. During the first year of TOMS, the company had made sold over $10,000 in pairs of shoes.

The reason behind such a successful first year? The commitment behind TOMS is that for each pair of shoes sold another pair of shoes will be given to a child in need.

After their first year Blake Mycoskie  returned to Argentina in which he gave back to all the children who inspired his great idea. Today, TOMS now supplies all in over 50 countries around the world for children who are less fortunate. To learn more about TOMS and what they do check out the link www.toms.ca

How is this a Customer Loyalty Program?

Well just like on my other posts its a method in which customer are giving back by purchasing even though the company is a NGO non profit organization it still uses a loyalty program strategy, Which customers will stick to the brand as it helps others in needs.
